Dealing with a Bad Headache

I took the IELTS exam yesterday, I was able to concentrate on the exam center because of the breath work probably. I was just holding my breath to listen properly or to force myself to revise my work while I was doing the reading and speaking part.

I don’t know what will be results, I don’t care about it took what matters is that I certainly made some progress for sure, at least it seemed while going through it.

My lowest point so far was 6 and my desired band score is 8, lets see what do I get. I just need to wait another week or so, without keeping any hopes. I was introspecting while waiting for the exam at the waiting center,

An exam is something to test someones ability on something in a constraint period of time. Such as IELTS tests ability to talk, write, speak or listen in English and then do some activities with it.

There are several points there,

a- Know the test format well — i.e question types so that I won’t be surprised during the test although I personally believe it will not measure someones ability fully if they know any specific format, that’s why format should be change or at least a little bit enhanced each time or in more extreme I like to be surprised every time I am on a test.

b- Language Ability — Have proper word storage( vocabulary), ability to make sentences with the words( Grammar Rules)

c- Perform in a time-bound environment — Being able to come up with solutions within a bounded time period.

In fact that’s what all the tests are. I don’t know then why I feel so much stressed out before every exams, yesterday before the exams I did not do anything although a lot of plans was going on inside my mind such as I should do this or that or what I will be doing after the exam.

I just concentrated on stopping my mind to think and focus on the breath work or in more profound way soul work.

I guess that’s what helped and gave me a better exam experience.

  1. Library Time: I started with big plans,I always do this, but I worked on Listening, took two mocks, introspected on the errors, did not do any work on the other parts.
  2. GYM Time: Skipped and slept early, as I felt a lot sleepy probably because of the stress of the exam.

Time Spent on 29th November, 2019

  1. Library Time: It felt like I wasted some time doing the full test but I found an interesting passage about Job Hunters club in the Reading part, other passage was also full of information.

I think If I can fight 3 biggest enemies or can continue the soul work properly I will be able to reach somewhere peaceful, and the biggest enemies so far are

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Fear
